The Author
Katie Norton is a kindergarten teacher in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and before that was a teacher at the two-room schoolhouse on Long Island Maine, for many years. She lives year-round on their island, and is a busy mother of three and wife to a full-time lobsterman. Katie is a poet, essayist, and novelist, and her work has been published in Rust and Moth, Empty House Press, Portland Press Herald, and The Working Waterfront. Katie loves playing her fiddle, sitting on the beach with her family and friends, and walking her itchy dog, Rudder, around the island. This is her debut book.Â
